Happy Feet

So, me and some of my so called "friends" (lol!) went to see Happy Feet over thanksgiving break. It was....different. All of the previews made it look very cute and creative, but after watching the movie..it was just weird. I mean, yes, there were funny parts that made us burst out laughing but it seemed like these parts were meant for the adults to understand. I know that they have these jokes so that the parent dont get bored during the kids movie and some of them are great, but others went tooooo far. besides these jokes there was something i just couldnt ignore, there seemed to be a big metaphor throughout the whole movie. conservatives vs. liberals. Im not saying dancing is evil! dancing is great! but in the movie the older penguins were all about singing and didnt want anything to change, they seemed to be portrayed as evil and bossy while the younger dancing penguins were just trying something new. The singing was kinda part of their "penguin religion" there is also an example of showing religion as made up with another penguin. In the end, I just felt that there was stuff in the movie that hinted some politics towards kids.

Besides all of that stuff, the funny parts were awesome! Here is a trailer!
