O Tannenbaum, o Tannenbaum, [Oh Christmas tree, Oh Christmas tree]
du kannst mir sehr gefallen! [Of all the trees most lovely]

The news had come out in the First World War
The bloody Red Baron was flying once more
The Allied command ignored all of its men
And called on Snoopy to do it again.

Twas the night before Christmas, 40 below
When Snoopy went up in search of his foe
He spied the Red Baron, fiercely they fought
With ice on his wings Snoopy knew he was caught.

Christmas bells those Christmas bells
Ring out from the land
Asking peace of all the world
And good will to man

The Baron had Snoopy dead in his sights
He reached for the trigger to pull it up tight
Why he didn't shoot, well, we'll never know
Or was it the bells from the village below.

Christmas bells those Christmas bells
Ringing through the land
Bringing peace to all the world
And good will to man

The Baron made Snoopy fly to the Rhine
And forced him to land behind the enemy lines
Snoopy was certain that this was the end
When the Baron cried out, "Merry Christmas, my friend"

The Baron then offered a holiday toast
And Snoopy, our hero, saluted his host
And then with a roar they were both on their way
Each knowing they'd meet on some other day.

Christmas bells those Christmas bells
Ringing through the land
Bringing peace to all the world
And good will to man

Like the new look?

silverstride06 in rose!

"I hear the bells!"

Went to see "hairspray" while in New York and whenever someone would fall in love or just realize that they were in love they would say, "i hear the bells!" It was really funny at the time. lol! Maybe sometime soon Ill write about the trip, it just seems like it would take forever. So, Ive been listening to The Killer alot cuz my bro came home with bunches of new music. I really like The Killers, some of their songs are alittle different but theyre cool. They mix things very well!
All These Things That I've Done

When there's nowhere else to run
Is there room for one more son
One more son
If you can hold on
If you can hold on, hold on

I wanna stand up, I wanna let go
You know, you know - no you don't, you don't
I wanna shine on in the hearts of men
I want a meaning from the back of my broken hand

Another head aches, another heart breaks
I am so much older than I can take
And my affection, well it comes and goes
I need direction to perfection, no no no no

Help me out
Yeah, you know you got to help me out
Yeah, oh don't you put me on the back burner
You know you got to help me out

And when there's nowhere else to run
Is there room for one more son
These changes ain't changing me
The cold-hearted boy I used to be

Yeah, you know you got to help me out
Yeah, oh don't you put me on the back burner
You know you got to help me out
You're gonna bring yourself down
Yeah, you're gonna bring yourself down
Yeah, you're gonna bring yourself down

I got soul, but I'm not a soldier
I got soul, but I'm not a soldier
...

Yeah, you know you got to help me out
Yeah, oh don't you put me on the back burner
You know you got to help me out
You're gonna bring yourself down
You're gonna bring yourself down
Yeah, oh don't you put me on the back burner
Yeah, you're gonna bring yourself down

Over and out, last call for sin
While everyone's lost, the battle is won
With all these things that I've done
All these things that I've done
If you can hold on
If you can hold on

I never thought it would come to this...

Now I understand what my clone was talking about. Last year during these practices she would always say stuff about how she was so sick of this and wanted to just go home. Now I'm feeling the same way. I kinda feel bad saying that b/c I know there are people that want to go into music when they get out of the dark hole known as highschool such as Chris and Joe and that's great for them! I really am happy! Nothing would make me happier than to see them going on to bigger and better bands, arranging their own music, or becoming band directors. That would be great, but to tell you the truth, after Im done with this the only time Ill pick up an instrument is for alumni band and maybe if I play at Christmas or something. I hate to say all of this because I remember Chris actually saying something about how he couldnt wait to go into music b/c the people will actually want to be at the practices and that's true! Many people say that band is all about the music but I dont agree with that. Band for me is all about the people and the moments, cuz when I look back at it Im not going to remember, "oh, that's the year that I played singing in the rain in a flat," no, Ill remember the fun times of singing on the bus or trying to act cheerful and play Christmas Carols while its below zero. So, if I ever seem painfully bored during practice or look like Im about to jump out the window to escape, Ill just have to think about all of the good times, and even if I talk about how I hate band now, when the band banquet comes, Ill love again. Just try to ignore the hate, once band is over I should be happy again.

Good advice!

Im doing my term paper and I really like this quote from the book its on...

"When you will not fly into a passion people know you are stronger than they are, because you are strong enough to hold in your rage, and they are not, and they say stupid things they wish they hadn't said afterward. There's nothing so strong as rage, except what makes you hold it in--that's stronger. "

That's why you keep quiet when people are trying to make you mad or things are bugging you, plus, "the meek shall inherit the earth."

Funny stuff...on the bus! (I just remembered)

"Wouldn't is be cool if there was some game where all of the different countries could play and their National Anthems were like...their fight songs?" -Becca
"You mean like, the Olympics Becca?" -me

I don't know, I thought it was funny!lol!

Cool beans

Well, we leave for New York tomorrow! I hope everyone has a really good time and mo one does anything stupid but you know thats gonna happen. pray for us!

GABEY, CHIP, OZZIE:
New York, New York, a helluva town. The Bronx is up, but the Battery's down. The people ride in a hole in the groun'.New York, New York, it's a helluva town!
CHIP:(points to Empire State Building)Hey, Gabey! Gabey, look.(consulting his guidebook with reverence and excitement)Gabey, it says here "There are 20,000 streets in New York, not counting MacDougal Alley the heart of Green-Witch Village,a charming thoroughfare filled with..."
OZZIE:Here we go again!
CHIP:The famous places to visit are so many,Or so the guidebooks say.I promised Daddy I wouldn't miss on any.And we have just one day.Got to see the whole townFrom Yonkers on down to the Bay.
GABEY, CHIP, OZZIE:In just one day!
New York, New York, a visitor's place,Where no one lives on account of the pace,But seven millions are screaming for space.New York, New York, it's a visitor's place!

Silence is a pretty shade of yellow...

Well, we have silence in the halls today. For those of you who don't know what that means, just take it literally. For the entire day, no one is allowed to talk outside of a classroom. I think the idea of it is to get everyone so pumped up during the day that everyone goes crazy at the pep rally. I don't know, I guess its ok but some people are really having problems. I'll leave you with a song that show choir gets to sing and the dance in sooo cute, but I cant help thinking of the movie "elf" when they sing it!

I really can't stay (but, baby, it's cold outside).
I've got to go 'way (but, baby, it's cold outside).
This evening has been: (Been hoping that you'd drop in)
so very nice (I'll hold your hands, they're just like ice).
My mother will start to worry: (beautiful words you're humming),
and father will be pacing the floor (listen to the fireplace roar).
So really I'd better: scurry (beautiful, please don't hurry)……
well, maybe just a half a drink more (put some records on while I pour).
The: neighbors might think (but, baby, it's bad out there)……
say, what's in this drink? (no cabs to be had out there).
I wish I: knew how (your eyes are like starlight now)
to break the spell (I'll take your hat, your hair looks swell).
I ought to say: no, no, no sir (mind if I move in closer?).
At least I'm gonna say that I tried (what's the sense of hurtin' my pride?).
I: really can't stay (Oh, baby, don't hold out).
Ah but it's cold outside (baby, it's cold outside).
I simply must go (but,: baby, it's cold outside).
The answer is no (but, baby, it's cold outside).
The welcome has been (how lucky that you: dropped in)
so nice and warm (look out that window at that storm).
My sister will be suspicious (Gosh, your lips look: delicious),
my brother will be there at the door (waves upon a tropical shore).
My maiden aunt's mind is vicious: (gosh, your lips are delicious).
Well, maybe just a cigarette more (never such a blizzard before).
I got to get home (but,: baby, you'd freeze out there).
Say, lend me a coat (it's up to your knees out there).
You've really been grand (I'm: thrilled when you touch my hand).
Why don't you see (how can you do this thing to me?).
There's bound to be talk: tomorrow (think of my lifelong sorrow),
at least there will be plenty implied (if you caught pneumonia and died).
I: really can't stay (get over that hold-out).
Ah, but it's cold outside (ah, but it's cold outside)……
Where could you be: going, when the wind is blowing, and it's cold outside?
Baby it's cold, cold outside.
