Mr. Adams, dear Mr. Adams

I love the musical 1776! It's sooooooooooo fun! It allows us to see a a funny side of historical figures. Not that it's all true, but it does have Mr. Feeney in it from Boy Meets World! He's so young, it's scary! You see... America doesnt have heros like King Arthur or any Greek/Roman characters who have been either made up or terribly exaggerated. Our heros did strive for independence and freedom. Not that every decision they made was right. It seems like we don't have heros anymore in the US, or anywhere else, for that matter. It's kinda sad really. We used to have great people to make great speeches and do great deeds, but, not anymore. Now we have celebs who like to show off how much money they have by what they wear or what their houses look like on "cribs." What happened to an honest person who worked hard and could be proud of his or her accomplishments just because they worked hard to achieve them instead of playing dumb on tv for attention or making a fool of themselves at an awards show. And now, I hear there is a play where Jesus and his disciples are portrayed as homosexuals. Man, I sound like an old person. "Back in my day..." Lord, please help us!

John Adams:
Jefferson, are y'finished?

*There is no answer.

You've had a whole week, man. Is it done? Can I see it?

*Jefferson points to all the crumpled paper on the floor. John picks up one at random and, flattening it out, reads it.

John:
"There comes a time in the lives of men when it becomes necessary to advance from the subordination in which they have hitherto remained-" this is terrible. (Looking up)Where's the rest of it?

*Again Jefferson points to the floor.

Do you mean to say it's not finished?

Jefferson:
No, sir- I mean to say it's not begun.

John:
Good God! A whole week! The entire earth was created in a week!

Jefferson,fed up turning to John:
Some day you must tell me how you did it.

Cool!

Test Results - Arwen

You are most like Arwen. Calm and reserved, you are not given to sudden outbursts. You conduct yourself with dignity...most of the time. The rest of the time you cut loose and are totally cool. You don't really think of yourself as popular, but plenty of people like you. You are not given to needless flirting. The right person will come along some day, and you are content to wait.

I got this in an e-mail and I wish everyone in the U.S.A could read it. We asked God to get out of our lives and he has. Dont you love America?

About Ovacs...

Ok, so I didnt make it into OVACS this year. Im not going to get into why too much. I guess Im not too upset. I mean, I know it would look good saying I went to OVACS every highschool year, but, its just another band camp to get through. I liked the final performance and everything but, I can do without it. Speaking of band camp...Im going to try to make this the best year ever! Hmm, the printer is acting up in the library! Stupid machines!

That Old Black Magic

Hey ya'll! We performed pretty well on Saturday. It wasnt perfect, but we'll keep practicing. About the whole "love" thing that my brother talked about in his blog, I agree. The most important thing isnt to just fall in love with anyone you see. Those kind of relationships dont last long but friendships can last forever! Im not saying that you cant "like" someone, I just saying, the best gift to give someone is respect.

We're goin' hoppin' (Hop)
We're goin' hoppin' today
Where things are poppin' (Pop)
The Philadelphia way
We're gonna drop in (Drop)
On all the music they play
On the Bandstand (Bandstand)

We're goin' swingin' (Swing)
We're gonna swingin' the crowd
And we'll be clingin' (Cling)
And floatin' high as a cloud
The phones are ringin' (Ring)
My mom and dad are so proud
I'm on Bandstand (Bandstand)
And I'll jump, and hey, I may even show 'em my handstand
Because I'm on, because I'm on the American Bandstand
When we dance real slow I'll show all the guys in the grandstand
What a swinger I am, I am on American Bandstand
