Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a great movie! You should go out and see it. I mean it! Get off your computer, call some friends and go!
Well, I miss the guys at ovacs! Umm....work has been kinda boring without my clone and Lola there.
Did you leave yet? Its about time...nerd.
Thank you Lord God for this day, for this moment, for this second. Please help me to use it for Your Glory and not my own.

He just wants some fooood.
So, my computer goes very slow and while I was waiting for the create a post thing to come up I started to watch Scout. I noticed that he was sniffing the smell of chicken in the air and I was very bored so I started singing about him wanting food. Now anyone would say, "my friend, some people sing when they get bored." You would think that wouldnt you random person I would think as I replied, "you just need to shut up or Ill knock you off of your ladder!" But then Id feel bad for yelling at them so Id take them out to taco bell or something and buy them a taco and they would say, "cant I have 2 tacos?" but I would turn around in shock yelling, "how dare you ask for two tacos! After all weve been through! You want two tacos! After the whole...So, my computer goes very slow and while I was waiting for the create a post thing to come up I started to watch Scout. You ruined our friendship, then we would head to a park during the painful silence and wed notice that there was only one swing left and we would begin to run towards it but the random person wouldnt notice that I took out my sword to get the swing from him/her. So id swing for awhile as the person yelled at me then something else could happen then Id go home and go to sleep and then Id wake up and post on my blog about this whole thing and then Id realize how long the post was and say oh well and then Id be all excited because this was my 51st post. Congrats if you actually read all of that!

Soldiers of Christ
We should always remember that we are in a constant battle against evil and sin and to win we need God. If we stray from God to experience worldly things we will individually lose battles. Even then, we still affect the others who are trying their best to win. Those trying to win will see the earthly things and think that its ok to get drunk all the time or to completely forget their faith. Help your brothers and sisiters in Christ. If we set a good example for the younger ones, they may have an easier time striving to be holy. When I say younger ones, I dont mean those younger than us, I mean those who are just beginning their faith or those that have strayed but have returned to God. And dont think that Im trying to say that Im perfect, Im far from it. I most certainly dont always act as God wants me to. When songs say, "to live your life, youve got to lose it" I think they mean lose what America tells you what your life should be. Dont listen to what the media is telling you, listen to God.
"The murky sea is black
dismal and so deep
millstones rocket through the dark
into it's icy keep
A resting place for broken ships
a cemetery for the humble
no one's here to make you stumble
If Jesus Christ is true
then I am mostly lies
if Jesus Christ is Love
then I have failed to try
if Jesus Christ is Life
then please just let me die
let...this...die..."

Long live FIF!
This is the song Im listening to at this very moment.
"I have been scarred so deep by life and cold despair, and brittle bones were broken far beyond repair. I have leveled lies so deep, the truth may never find. And inside my faithless heart, I stole things never mine.
*If mercy falls upon the broken and the poor, Dear Father, I will see you, there on distant shores.*
I have toiled for countless years and ever felt the cost, and I've been burned by this world's cold, like leaves beneath the frost. On my knees I've crawled to You, bleeding myself dry. But the price of life is more, than I could ever buy. *
And off of the blocks, I was headstrong and proud, at the front of the line for the card-carrying, highbrowed. With both eyes fastened tight, yet unscarred from the fight. Running at full tilt, my sword pulled from its hilt. It's funny how these things can slip away, our frail deeds, the last will wave good-bye. It's funny how the hope will bleed away, the citadels we build and fortify. Good-Bye.
Night came and I broke my stride, I swallowed hard, but never cried. When grace was easy to forget, I'd denounce the hypocrites, casting first stones, killing my own. You would unscale my blind eyes, and I stood battered, but more wise, fighting to accelerate, shaking free from crippling weight. With resilience unsurpassed, I clawed my way to You at last. And on my knees, I wept at Your feet, I finally believed, that You still loved me.
Healing hands of God have mercy on our unclean souls once again. Jesus Christ, Light of the World, burning bright within our hearts forever. Freedom means love without condition, without beginning or an end. Here's my heart, let it be forever Yours, only You can make every new day seem so new."

This is such an awesome song! Everyone should listen to it right now!

Public enemy number 1
Hmm, Ive got a big bad voodoo daddy song in my head. I need to cut my hair...its getting too long! Well, I dont know, do you guys think I should cut it? Ill let you guys give comments about it , if you do. Right now its at the length where it all goes up in a pony tail but if I just have it down it goes crazy because its hitting my shoulders causing it to curl up and stuff. I need to talk about important things in my blog huh.....hmm.
Pray for peace, for the people in London, and the people in the path of the hurricane!
"Hey folks here's the story 'bout Minnie the Moocher
She was a low-down Hoochie Koocher
She was the roughest toughest frail
But Minnie had a heart as big as a whale
Hidey Hidey Hidey Hi
(Hidey Hidey Hidey Hi)
Hodey odey odey oh
(Hodey odey odey oh)
Heedey Heedey Heedey Hee
(Heedey Heedey Heedey Hee)
Hidey Hidey Hidey Ho
(Hidey Hidey Hidey Ho)
She messed around with a bloke named smokey
She loved him though he was cokey
He took her down to Chinatown
And showed her how to kick the gong around
Hidey Hidey Hidey Hi

Whooooooooaaaap!

She had a dream about the King of Sweden
He gave her things that she was needin'
He gave her a home built of gold and steel
A diamond car with the platinum wheels
-----
He gave her is townhouse and his racin' horses
Each meal she ate was a dozen courses
Had a million dollars worth of nickels and dimes
She sat around and counted them a million times

I have such a desire to knock heads together!
Welly welly welly well! It’s a great day! I did have work today but it wasn’t bad because I had Jess and Becky to keep me from falling asleep. I loved the play last night! The little kids were so cute and of course Michael did a good job, no he did an awesome job!
I’m Aladdin yes I am,
and you know Alakazam,
and I'm
at your service,
at your service,
at your service ma'am!
(I know that’s a completely different play but its been in my head all day!)
Your obedient,
G. Washington

"My friend, you underestimate the power of gerbils."
Have you ever tried to spend some time without using electricity? Its hard! I was so tempted to turn on the tv. Well, we did end up turning it on, but that was after almost half and hour of just talking while using fun candles. Thats when we started talking about fireworks and then about building boats powered by gerbils. Hmm...Happy 3rd of July!
Till then, till then, I am, as I ever was and ever shall be... yours, yours, yours, yours, yours...saltpeter...John, pins...Abigail.

A Salute to Mo the Great
I have noticed that Mo has been commenting on alot of my posts lately and I thought I would thank you...uuhh... THANK YOU MO!
Well, I finished watching all of the signing time videos and I know alot of the basic words in signs. Ive learned alot of signs for food and stuff. Now I need to move on to the connecting words. Well, thats about it. Oh, and today is the day on which the Continental Congress passed the bill that stated that "these United Colonies are, and of right, and ever ought to be, Free and Independent States..." as proposed by Richard H. Lee, from Virginia. If youve seen 1776, you know how cool it is.

Historical Context
I like this background. Its very calming. Do you guys like it? I only had to work till 10 today. It was nice to get out early, but I dont think we should have even had to come to work at all! *Sigh* Im sleepy, but I know if I take a nap, I wont be able to think clearly the rest of the day. If youve never talked me after a nap, you can pretty much understand what its like by looking at the post called Im a little tired...zzz. lalalala!
I wonder how practice for brass is going. I miss you guys. I remember last year when Miss R was talking about trying to make this band all brass, and then some of the brass people were all excited. Not all of them, just some. I know alot of people cant stand woodwinds because alot of what they hear doesnt sound great. Its not right to put the woodwinds down because they dont always sound great. Youve gotta understand, alot of our saxophones are broken beyond repair, and even if they are kinda fixed, things always end up breaking soon after. Im really not mad at anyone, Im just thinking about this stuff.
I just cant stand it when people are like, "Oh! No woodwinds today, we'll actually sound good." I know we do have some poeple who are still learning how to play, but dont say that to the rest of us. We have been working just as long as you guys have and I cant stand it when people question our playing skills. No, saxophone isnt my favorite instrument, but Ive got to play it anyway so people can almost, kinda hear me. And dont yell at the saxohones to try to be as loud as the brass, woodwinds arent built that way.
When we went in to choose what instruments we wanted to play, no one told us that if we picked woodwinds, we wouldnt be loud enough, or that people would constantly remind us that we were out of tune, or that we would be mocked. Thats not right. I mean, I love brass, I really mean it! You guys are great, you sound really good together, but we cant help it if our instruments tend to break more often then yours do. Honestly, if clarinets were loud enough, I would have never switched,I know how to play that instrument, I actually took lessons on it, thats why I love concerts! So, if you ever hear a woodwind having a hard time with a note or something, dont just think, "Oh, its a woodwind, they obviously havent worked hard enough" No, we have worked just as hard as you have to master our instruments, so dont ever look down on us. "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth."
Till then...
PS-This rant wasnt sparked by anything that anyone did this year, it was pretty much just built up over time and I just thought I should lay it down.
I really do love the brass, I like to listen to God's music from the trumpets and the angelic tones produced by Jess and Sassy(who I get to practice with) and, of course, low brass, well, what can I say, you guys rock. And we are a part of your section whether you like it or not, cya!
